Bodhisattva: Water-Moon Serenity

A ZBrush sculpt of the Water-Moon Avalokitesvara (水月観音菩薩), reimagined in a moment of quiet reflection during a mythical journey westward.

I drew inspiration from Far Eastern Buddhst art (particularly the Guanyin of the Southern Sea) and the aesthetic of Gandharan Buddhism.
This piece is my attempt to bridge traditions across time and geography.

I’ve included some studies of existing Buddhist artworks I did before working on the sculpture.
